WE HAVE FULFILLED OUR PROMISE TO YOU. WE HAVE RECEIVED WASC ACCREDITATION.
All our hard work and sleepless nights have finally paid off. We achieved a great success. From now on our school will improve more and more. I would like to personally thank all the teachers who worked so hard to help us achieve this goal. Our teachers have been a great support to us all through the process. I would especially like to thank Dr. Libato for all his efforts and hard work in guiding us along the way and showing us what to do to achieve what seemed to be impossible.
We are also happy to announce that the new high-end computers will be installed this Tuesday. The old computers will be upgraded this week and the Interactive White-Boards will be installed this coming week. We are now in the process of purchasing the E-books for next year and when that is done; our promise to you of having a paperless school will have been fulfilled. In order to expand our services we are now offering after hours tutorials from 3:30-4:30 each afternoon. These tutorials will cover all the core subjects and will be taught by the school teachers. The monthly charge will be 2,500b. These tutorials are also offered to the community. Anyone who wants to learn some English is invited to come and join. Registration starts on May 4, 2009.
We would like to also remind you that we are offering an Early Bird tuition package and discount. If you come and pay next year’s full tuition during the months of April and May 2009 you will receive 6% discount. If you pay this tuition during the months of June and July you will receive 3% discount. Please come as soon as you can and benefit from these discounts. We are also offering a Summer Field Trip which will be sometime in July 2009. This field trip will be to Singapore and we will be informing you about the cost in our next edition of the magazine. The trip will be over a three day period and will be full of activities and shopping opportunities.
Next year we will be starting a second stream of the ESL program designed for students who can not afford to join the regular ESL or mainstream. The program will be called ESL Complete Pull Out, which means that students will be having the full school program, including the core subjects, but completely separate from the mainstream students. The charge will be 40,000b per semester and will be one of our services to the community. However, students in our regular ESL will not be eligible for this program. Our Regular ESL program will be a Partial Pull-Out or Integrated Program next year. Students will be taking their core subjects with the regular Mainstream classes and their non-core subjects will be in the ESL program.
This years’ Summer School will be for remedial work. Students who have failed in one or two core subjects can join and bring up their failing grades. By California State Curriculum standards students who fail in more than two core subjects can not pass to a higher class, even if they take the Summer School. However, we will try to accommodate the students who are failing in more than two core subjects this year only. All students who have failed in more than two core subjects must see the School Director and register immediately so that we can make arrangements for them. The charge for the Summer School will be 25,000b. However, the Summer School for the elementary classes will also include summer camp activities and will not be restricted to failing students. Please come and register as soon as possible.
