Siam International School seeks to accommodate a variety of abilities and interests, but students must demonstrate average to above average grades for admission. Cases are reviewed by our counselors before confirming admissions.
With 2-3 years of school records or reports and the student section of the application for admission, many students who do not require LD or special needs services can be admitted to SIAM without being physically present. The Admissions Office reviews all applicants' academic records to determine initial grade placement and applicable screening tests for Elementary, Middle, and High School students.
Academic records are essential in the enrollment process. Unofficial transcripts may be submitted with the application, however the High School will eventually require official transcripts from previous schools. If records are in a language other than English, please have the records translated into English and include the certified translation with the original school record.
Please provide complete information about your child's previous educational experience. Reports indicating children with special needs are particularly important. These records will assist the school in the proper assessment of your child's ability as well as in planning an appropriate educational program and placement for your child. If no school records are available for elementary students, please request that the previous school supply a letter indicating the year(s) the student attended that school.
All students will have an intake interview with one of our school counselors before being placed in classes. Middle and High school students may be required to take one or more placement test in various subjects. These assessments are designed to assist us in making an accurate placement of your child into our curriculum. The counselor will review the applicant's school record and test results, and will conduct an interview before confirming grade placement and/or course scheduling. One or both parents are requested to accompany the student for this meeting.
SIAM International School accommodates a variety of abilities and interests, but students must demonstrate good grades for admission. SIAM provides an excellent learning environment where the classes are small and the teachers use a wealth of modern teaching techniques.
