Siam International School is well situated on Rangsit-Nakornnayok Road north of metropolitan Bangkok and three kilometers from the Outer Ring Road. The spacious 41 Rai site has a healthy and spacious environment, which provides excellent educational opportunities for our Thai and international students.
The school includes a Kindergarten, Elementary School, Middle School, and High School. Seasonal English Camps and Summer Camps are advertised all year long and are available not only to our students but other children in the community. These “selling points” continue to bring in new students annually. The layout of the school is very inviting with well designed classrooms, a theatre and auditorium, computer and science labs, counselor’s office, nurse’s office, a library, art room, both music and band rooms, and leisure spaces within a large canteen area. The front office is located in a separate administrative building with a large greeting area; conference and administrative rooms; a large working space for the finance department; and a separate office suite for the school’s owner.
There is a pool and tennis court area adjacent to a small sport complex which encompasses a weight room and changing facilities. The grounds include a regular size football pitch, outdoor basketball court, volleyball area, children’s playground, natural ecological zone, pond and footpaths. As the school is situated on the klong, there is a convenient dock and reception area across from the main entrance. This area has hosted students, parents and members of the community for the annual floating of krathongs and official fish releasing events.
The province of Pathum Thani, according to the most recent census of 2000, has a population of 677,600 of which 20% are of school age or almost school age (0-14 yrs.). It is the mission of Siam International School to educate the whole child – mind, body and spirit- and to encourage each child to strive for excellence. It is our responsibility to awaken and nurture a love of learning in each child so that they become lifelong learners. Through a process of inquiry, research and creative problem solving we will help our students to search for solutions. We will provide our students with the skills necessary to make thoughtful choices and with opportunities to make informed decisions.
It is our duty to create a community where every child feels safe to explore and develop individual strengths and to appreciate the strengths of others. We will teach our children to value the beliefs of their own cultures, but also to understand the ideas and beliefs of others.
It is our responsibility to offer our students opportunities to apply their knowledge and skills to the betterment of their community and to prepare for the challenges facing our global community.
At Siam International School, we believe that schools should be safe and secure places, where children can prepare themselves for the outside world and explore new ideas without the fear of failure. The curriculum is designed to encourage students to use their minds to solve problems in a meaning way and to ignite creative talents. We strive to bring out the best in each child, and to engender a true love of learning.
In the belief that every student, regardless of race, creed or ability, is a special individual and possesses unique potential, the school will continually strive to reveal, nurture and maximize their talents and abilities whilst instilling a sense of ethics and responsibility in their relationship to local and worldwide community.
Siam International School is being established and developed to meet the increasing need and demand for high quality education for Thai and international students. The school will focus on creating a balance between excellence in learning, significant participation in athletics and extra-curricular activities while integrating social and family values along with instructional technology into the curriculum.
